SALIX A diverse
group of deciduous trees varying in size from small to large. Suitable
for most soils, many are suitable for wet areas, and growing in sun or
part shade. The young shoots on some varieties are attractively coloured
in winter.

S. alba var. vitellina ‘Britzensis AGM Slender catkins with the young leaves in spring. Narrow light green leaves,deciduous. Young stems are orange-red especially in winter. Height a vigorous tree which can reach 15 metres. Spread 5 to 8 metres.

S. alba var. sericea Slender catkins appear in Spring.  Narrow, intensely silver leaves. Height a round headed tree to 5 metres. Spread 4 to 5 metres.
