F. gardenii Dense clusters of tiny, fragrant, white flowers in April and May. Broadly oval, dark green leaves, red, yellow and orange autumn colour, deciduous. Height and Spread 1 metre.
F.  gardenii `Blue Mist’ Dense clusters of tiny, fragrant, white flowers in April and May. Broad, oval, blue-grey leaves, yellowish in autumn, deciduous.  Height and Spread about 1 metre. Best in full sun but will grow in partial shade, moist, well-drained acidic soil.

Fothergilla majorF. major AGM Tufts of fragrant white flowers in April and May. Oval green leaves, slightly bluish-white beneath, that turns red, orange and yellow in autumn.  Height 2 to 2.5 metres. Spread 1.2 to 2 metres.

Fothergilla major Monticola GroupF. major Monticola Group Fragrant white in April and May made up of creamy white stamens.  Rounded dark green leaves, red, yellow and orange autumn colour. Deciduous.  Height slowly to 2 to 2.5metres. Spread 1.5 to 2.5 metres.
