Hydrangea mac KingGeorgeH. macrophylla ?King George? HORTENSIA Large mop heads of rose pink, smooth edged florets, July to October. Large mid green leaves, stems have no spots on them, deciduous.  Height and Spread 1.2 to 1.5 metres. There are two varieties of King George grown, ours was introduced in 1838 by Emil Draps. An alternative was introduced by H J Jones and has serrated sepals and stems with spots on them but appears to be the same colour flower as the Draps variety. Thanks go to Roger Dinsdale for supplying information about these two plants which are often mixed up.
