Berberis ? Evergreen and deciduous, shrubs most having spiny stems and the leaves on evergreen are often spiny. Will grow in full sun or partial shade in well drained, moist soil.

Berberis buxifolia ‘Pygmea’ (Was Berberis buxifolia `Nana’) A few yellow flowers in March and April. Dark green leaves, greyish below, evergreen. Height a dwarf shrub to about 45cm. Spread 45cm. E
Berberis candidula Bright yellow flowers in May and June, oval, purple berries in the autumn. Leaves are narrowly oblong, glossy, dark green, white beneath, evergreen. Height and spread a dwarf shrub to about 0.6 metres. E
