ABELIA   Deciduous and semi-evergreen shrubs requiring a sunny sheltered position, protected from cold winds, in a well-drained soil. S

Abelia chinensis Fragrant, white, rose-tinted flowers from July to October. Mid green leaves, deciduous. Height 1 to 1.5 metres. Spread 1 to 1.2 metres

Abelia ‘Edward Goucher’ Bears a profusion of lilac-pink flowers July to October. Bright glossy green leaves, bronze when young, semi evergreen. Height and Spread 1.5 metres.

Abelia x grandiflora AGM  Slightly fragrant white flowers, tinged pink from July to September.  Dark green, glossy leaves, semi-evergreen. Height arching medium sized shrub 1.5 to 2 metres. Spread to 1.5 metres. 

Abelia ConfettiAbelia x grandiflora CONFETTI ‘Conti’ Slightly fragrant white flowers August to October. Small dark green leaves with a cream edge, which turns pinky-red in autumn, semi-evergreen. Height 60cm. Spread 90cm. No propagation without a licence.
Abelia x grandiflora ‘Goldsport’  Slightly fragrant white flowers, tinged pink from July to September.  Yellow leaves, semi evergreen. An arching shrub 1.5 to 2 metres. Spread 1.2 to 1.5 metres.
Abelia x grandiflora ‘Kaleidoscope’  better and more stable variegation than ‘Frances Mason’ Slightly fragrant white flowers, tinged pink from July to September.  Yellow leaves with a green splash, semi evergreen. An arching shrub 1.5 to 2 metres. Spread 1.2 to 1.5 metres.
 
Abelia schumaniiAbelia schumannii AGM Lilac pink, tubular flowers, spotted orange in the throat, slightly fragrant June to September. Mid green leaves, deciduous.  Height about 1.2 metres. Spread 0.5 to 1 metre.
