MACLEAYA (Plume Poppy) Tall clump forming rhizomatous perennial with feathery plumes of flowers. Requires moist well-drained soil. Requires full sun and a sheltered site.

Macleaya cordata AGM Ivory spikes August and September. Attractive deeply cut grey leaves, white below. Height 180cm. Spread 60cm.

Macleaya microcarpa ‘Kelway’s Coral Plume’ AGM Rich coral pink spikes of flowers from July to September. Large rounded lobed leaves are grey-green above, grey-white beneath. Height 180 to 210cm. Spread 90cm. Spreads by underground suckers. Can be invasive.
