WISTERIA A deciduous, twining climber. Needs a sunny wall. Will grow
in most soils.
Prune to keep within bounds in winter, shorten new
growth in August.

W. brachybotrys ?Shiro-kabitan? (Was W. venusta) White, large and slightly fragrant flowers in short trusses May and June. Green leaves. Height 3 metres or more.

W. ?Caroline? Soft lavender mauve flowers in in May and June, a few later. Mid green leaves. Height  10 metres or more.

W. floribunda ?Alba? AGM White flowers, lilac on the keel, May, June a few later. Pale green leaves made up of many leaflets. Height  3 metres or more. 

W. flo. ?Domino? (W. x formosa ? Issai)? Lilac blue tusses of flower about 30cm long, May and June. Pale green leaves made up of many small leaflets. Height 3 metres or more.

W. flo. ? Kuchi-Beni?(Peaches and Cream) Rosy pink buds open to paler pink flowers, May and June. Green leaves made up of many small leaflets. Height 4 metres or more.

W. flo. ?Yae-kokuryu? (Also known as W. ?Black Dragon’) 30cm dark purple, double, flowers May and June. Mid green leaves. Height 4 metres or more. 

W. sinensis ‘Amethyst’ , 30cm long, fragrant, May and June a few later. Mid green leaves. Height 10 metres or more.
W. sinensis ?Prolific? Mauve to lilac trusses, even on young plants, May and June a few later.. Mid green leaves. Deciduous. Height 10 m. or more. Will grow on a sunny wall or through a large tree in most soils.
