VITIS (Vine) A
deciduous climber which climbs using tendrils. Requires well-drained soil
in a sunny position.

V. ?Black Hamburgh? (Also known as V.? Schiava Grossa? ) Greenish flowers, then grapes of dark blue-black with a white bloom when ripe. Deeply cut, green, leaves turn dark red to purple with distinct veins. Height can grow over 10 metres but can be pruned.

V. cognetiae AGM Small, greenish, flowers followed by black fruits with a purple bloom. Broad, rounded, green leaves turn crimson and scarlet in the autumn. Height to 10 metres.

V. cognetiae ‘Claret Cloak? Small, greenish, flowers followed by black fruits with a purple bloom. Broad, rounded, coppery purple, young, leaves turn green then crimson and scarlet in the autumn. Height to 10 metres.

V. vinifera ?Purpurea? AGM Greenish flowers, then grapes of blue-black. Deeply cut leaves turn red then purple. Height can grow over 6 metres but can be pruned.
