Ilex- Mostly evergreen  shrubs to trees bearing berries on female plants. Moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade. E

I. x altaclerensis ‘Golden King’ AGM  FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY, if pollinated by a male red berries FOLLOW. Dark green, almost spineless, leaves with a bright yellow margin, evergreen.  Height 4 to 6 metres. Spread 3 to 4 metres. 

I. x altaclerensis ‘Lawsoniana’ AGM  FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY,  if pollinated by a male orange berries will follow. Dark green, almost spineless, leaves splashed yellow and lime green in the centre, evergreen.  Height 4 to 6 metres. Spread 3 to 4 metres. 
I. aquifolium AGM Tiny white flowers followed by red berries on female plants. Height a large shrub to small tree 4 to 8 metres.  Spread 3 to 4 metres.

I. aquifolium ‘Argentea Marginata’ AGM FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY  red berries follow if pollinated by a male. Green, silver margined, leaves on pale green stems, evergreen. Height 4 to 8 metres.  Spread 3 to 4 metres. 

I. aquifolium ‘Argentea Marginata Pendula’ FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY  red berries follow if pollinated by a male. Green, silver margined, leaves on pale green stems, evergreen Height a weeping tree to about 3 metres.  Spread 1.5 metres.

Ilex aquifolium BacciflavaI. aquifolium ‘Bacciflava’  FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY followed by yellow berries if pollinated by a male. Mid green, spiny, leaves, evergreen. Height 4 to 7 metres.  Spread 3 to 4 metres. 

I. aquifolium ‘FeroxMALE FLOWERS ONLY NO BERRIES. Excellent variety for pollinating female varieties. Very dark green leaves with spines all over the leaf, evergreen. Height 2 to 3 m. Spread 1 to 2 metres.

I. aquifolium ‘Ferox Argentea’ AGM  MALE FLOWERS ONLY NO BERRIES. Excellent variety for pollinating female varieties. Very dark green leaves edged creamy white with spines all over the leaf, evergreen. Height 2 to 3 m. Spread 1 to 2 metres.

I. aquifolium ‘Handsworth New Silver’ AGM FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY red berries follow if pollinated by a male variety. Dark stems hold dark green leaves, edged cream and slightly mottled grey. Height 3 to 4metre.  Spread 2 to 3 metres.
I. aquifolium  ‘J.C. van Tol’ AGM Self pollinating variety bearing masses of red berries amongst almost spineless mid green leaves, evergreen. Height 4 to 7 metres.  Spread 2 to 3 metres.
Ilex aquifolium Madame BriotI. aquifolium ‘Madame Briot’ AGM  FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY produce its scarlet fruits when pollinated by a male. Large, spiny, dark green, leaves mottled and margined dark yellow, evergreen. Height 2 to 3 metres. Spread 1 to 2 metres.
I. aquifolium ‘Silver Milkmaid' FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY  red berries follow if pollinated by a male. Green, leaves with a broad splash of cream. May revert so remove any shoots with plain green leaves, evergreen. Height 4 to 8 metres.  Spread 3 to 4 metres. 
I. aquifolium ‘Silver Queen’ AGM MALE VARIETY NO BERRIES. Useful for pollinating female varieties. Young leaves pinkish turning dark green, edged cream, evergreen.  Height 3 to 4 metres.  Spread 2 to 3 metres.
I. aquifolium  ‘Silver van Tol’

I. crenata ‘Golden Gem’ Small yellow leaves form the main attraction, especially in the winter. Height about 0.3 to 0.6 metres. Spread 0.6 to 0.9 metres.

I. crenata ‘Fastigiata’ Small dark green leaves on upright stems, evergreen. Height about 2 metres. Spread 0.30 to 0.6 metres. A formal pillar shaped shrub.

I. x meserveae BLUE PRINCE MALE FLOWERS  ONLY needed to set berries on female varieties. Dark glossy green leaves with almost a bluish tinge to them, evergreen. Height about 2 metres. Spread 1 to 1.5 metres

I. x meserveae BLUE PRINCESS 'Conapri' FEMALE FLOWERS ONLY needs a male to set red berries. Dark glossy green leaves with almost a bluish tinge to them, evergreen. Height about 2 metres. Spread 1 to 1.5 metres.
