AUCUBA - Large leaved evergreens which will grow in most situations from dense shade to full sun. E

Aucuba japonica CrotonifoliaA. japonica ‘Crotonifolia’ AGM   Reddish-purple, male, flowers in March and April. NO BERRIES. Needed to pollinate female varieties. Dark shiny green leaves, heavily spotted and splashed yellow, evergreen. Height and spread 2 to 3 metres.

A. japonica 'Golden King' AGM   Reddish-purple, male, flowers in March and April. NO BERRIES. Needed to pollinate female varieties. Bold golden markings on green leaves, evergreen. Height and spread 2 to 3 metres.

A. japonica ‘Picturata’  We have found this variety to be unstable with the variegation not lasting and eventually turning back to a spotted form therefore we have stopped growing it.

A. japonica ‘Rozannie’ AGM   Reddish purple male and female flowers in March and April followed by red berries. Shiny green, leathery leaves. Height up to 1.5 metres. Spread about 1 metre.

A. japonica ‘Sulphurea Marginata’  Reddish-purple, female, flowers in March and April. BERRIES IF POLLINATED BY A MALE. Green shiny leaves edged yellow leaves, evergreen. Best leaf colour in a sunny site. Height and spread 1.5 to 2 metres.
A. japonica ‘Variegata’  Dark shiny green leaves spotted yellow, evergreen. Height and Spread 2 to 3 metres.
