PRIMULA Comes in a wide range of colours. Most require moist well-drained soil in sun or part shade, unless otherwise stated.

P. auricula AGM A wide range of coloured flowers, from April to June. Roundish, leathery pale green leaves, often with a greyish tinge. Height and Spread 15cm. Requires any well-drained soil in full sun.

P. beesiana Whorls of magenta-pink flowers in tiers like a candelabra from May to July. Mid green ribbed leaves. Height 60cm. Spread 30cm.

P. bulleyana Whorls of light orange flowers in tiers like a candelabra in June and July. Mid green ribbed leaves. Height 60 to 75cm. Spread 30cm.

P. capitata Heads of blue purple flowers on powdered white stems, June to August. Ribbed mid green leaves. Height 20 to 30cm. Spread 15 to 30cm.
