EPIMEDIUM Cup-shaped flowers usually with spurs. Some are evergreen. Good ground cover. Requires a cool shady site in a well-drained moist soil.

E. grandiflorum AGM(Was Epimedium macranthum) Large deep pink flowers with white tipped spurs, April May. Pea green leaves, deciduous. Height 30cm. Spread 25cm, often more.

E. grandiflorum ‘Lilafee’ Small cup shaped flowers, darkest violet-purple in April and May. Young leaves attractively tinted as they appear then turning green, deciduous. Height and Spread 25cm. Will grow in sun if the soil remains moist.

E. x perralchicum ‘Frohnleiten’ Yellow, flowers in April and May. Bright green, heart shaped leaves, turning bronze in winter, semi-evergreen. Height 30cm. Spread 30cm, often more.

E. x rubrum AGM Crimson flowers in April and May. Leaves tinted red in spring then turning green, deciduous. Height 25cm. Spread 25cm, often more.

E. x versicolor ‘Sulphureum’ AGM Pale yellow, flowers in April and May. Bright green, heart shaped leaves, tinted red in spring and autumn, deciduous. Height 30cm. Spread 30cm, often more.

E. x youngianum ‘Niveum’ AGM Delicate, snow-white flowers are borne in April and May. Young leaves tinted red as they appear in spring, turning green later, deciduous. Height and Spread 25cm.

E. x youngianum ‘Roseum’ Delicate pink flowers in April and May. Young leaves attractively tinted as they appear, then turning green, deciduous. Height and Spread 25cm. Will grow in sun if the soil remains moist.
