DICENTRA Pretty perennial with unusual flowers and fern-like leaves. Requires sun or partial shade in a moist but well-drained soil.

D. 'Aurora' (Was Dicentra formosa 'Aurora') Heart shaped white flowers,. Deeply divided greyish blue feathery leaves. Height 30cm. Spread 30cm.

D. ‘Bacchanal’ Red bells May to July, often longer. Deeply divided green leaves. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm.

D. ‘Ivory Hearts ’ Pure white flowers April to July, Deeply divided grey green leaves. Height 30cm. Spread 60cm.

D. ‘King of Hearts’ Rose pink flowers April to July, often longer. Deeply divided green leaves. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm.

D. ‘Luxuriant’ AGM Bright red bells April to June, often longer. Deeply divided green leaves. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm.

D. spectabilis AGM (Should now be known as Lamprocapnos but we believe this is quite confusing so will keep with the old name for the present) Leafy perennial forming a hummock of fern- like, deeply cut, mid-green foliage, above which rise arching stems carrying pendent, heart-shaped, pinkish-red and white flowers in late spring and summer. D. spectabilis 'Alba' AGM (Should now be known as Lamprocapnos but we believe this is quite confusing so will keep with the old name for the present) Arching sprays of pendent, heart-shaped, pure white flowers from May to July. Pale green divided leaves. Height 60cm. Spread 45cm.

D. ‘Stuart Boothman’ AGM Locket shaped flesh pink flowers, from April to June, held on thin stems above finely cut smokey-grey leaves. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm.
