Matteucia - Requires partial shade and a moist soil.  Will not tolerate dry soils.

M. struthiopteris Lance shaped, erect, divided fronds are arranged like a shuttlecock, outermost fresh green sterile fronds surround denser dark brown fertile fronds, deciduous.  Height 60 to 90cm. Spread 60cm eventually more.
