TROPAEOLUM Herbaceous, twining climber. Requires full sun and well-drained
soil.
T. speciosum Bears
scarlet flowers in summer followed by indigo fruits. Lobed, rich green
leaves. Height 3 metres or more. Best against a north facing wall or hedge.
The roots need to be shaded from the sun.
T. tuberosum
'Ken Aslett' Greyish green leaves have 3-5 lobes;
from mid summer to late autumn, has cup shaped flowers with orange-yellow
petals, orange-red sepals and a long spur. Height 2-3m.
