PARTHENOCISSUS (Virginia Creeper)
Self-clinging climber grown for
its autumn colour. Sun or part shade in a moist, well-drained soil.

P. henryana AGM Leaves have 3-5 oval toothed leaflets that are velvety, deep green or bronze with white or pinkish veins. Very good autumn colour. Small dark blue berries appear in autumn. Height climbs by twining tendrils to about 6 metres.
P. quinquifolia AGM Leaves have 5 oval toothed, dull green leaflets paler beneath, that turn crimson in autumn. Deciduous. Blue-black berries appear in autumn, after hot summers. Height to 6 m., often more.
P. q. var. engelmannii Leaves have 5 oval toothed, dull green leaflets paler beneath, that turn crimson in autumn. Blue-black berries may appear in autumn. Height 6 metres or more.

P. tricuspidata AGM Variable, lobed and toothed green leaves turning to spectacular, crimson, autumn leaf colour. Dark blue berries may appear in autumn. Height will cover large expanses of wall, may reach 15 metres.

| P.tri. ‘Beverley Brook’ Green leaves made up of three leaflets or lobes, spectacular crimson autumn colour, deciduous. Height useful to cover large expanses of wall as self clinging, 15 metres. |
P. tri. ‘ Minutifolia’ VERY UNUSUAL FORM Small variable green leaves turning to spectacular, crimson, autumn leaf colour. Dark blue berries may appear in autumn. Height to 3 or 4 metres.
