CELASTRUS Deciduous, twining climber. Requires sun or part shade in a  moist, well-drained soil.

C. orbiculatus hermaphrodite   Insignificant flowers may be followed by brown capsules which open to show a yellow lining and red seeds. Roundish pale green leaves, which turn brilliant yellow in autumn. Height up to 7.5 metres.
